Why Jump Rope?
Obesity in the UK is rising rapidly, and it’s vital this is not ignored.
Over the last 25 years, obesity in UK adults has risen from 15% to a staggering 29%. That’s an increase of over 10 million.
Even more alarmingly, in 2017 over 20% of children in Year 6 were obese & 14% more were overweight.
That’s one in three kids aged ten.
Jump rope is one of most efficient ways to burn hundreds of calories an hour and has very few barriers to entry. You don’t need to sign up to a gym membership, join a local sports team or purchase expensive equipment. All you need is a rope. A rope is low cost and low maintenance. And that’s not all.
It does more than burn calories.
