Jump for the NHS White.png

I created #JumpfortheNHS to raise money for my local hospital - the Medway Maritime Hospital in Kent, England. I want to help some of the key workers who are risking their lives every day to save ours.

What will the funds provide?

We know that hospitals are desperate for PPE, but when speaking to the Medway Hospital Charity, I learned that they have the funds for PPE, when it becomes available. Front-line hospital staff have asked for our help in providing toiletries - such as hand creams, face creams shower gels and deodorants. You might have seen the pictures of doctors and nurses with sores on their faces from wearing masks throughout their shifts? The money raised from this campaign will provide these essential items to those that need them.

A donation of just £5 can buy a face cream or up to three bottles of hand cream, shower gel or deodorant.

“We are really thankful to The Jump Rope Coach for raising money to support our incredible team here at Medway Maritime Hospital. It’s the little things that make a big difference. Thank you. Stay at home. Protect the NHS. Save lives.” — Donna Law at The Medway Hospital Charity

How can you help?

You can help the Medway Maritime Hospital in three ways.

Option 1 Buy a rope

You can help by buying a special edition ‘NHS HEROES’ beaded jump rope. I’ve designed these in the blue and white combination of our NHS, and they are on sale for £9.99.

All profits from the sale of this rope will go directly to the Medway Hospital Charity.

During this time of social distancing, many people are turning to jump rope as a way to exercise and maintain their physical and mental health without leaving their home. This is a way for people to support the NHS while enjoying or discovering a new hobby.

Option 2 Just donate

You don’t need to buy a jump rope to help! You can simply donate via my dedicated JustGiving page via the link below.

100% of every donation goes directly to the Medway Hospital Charity to support the key workers risking their lives to save ours every day in Medway Maritime Hospital. They are the real heroes on the front-line.

Every donation, no matter how small, makes a big difference.

Option 3 Take part

You can get involved in our social media campaign where we #JumpfortheNHS.

Learn the footwork challenge in this video, then:

  • Upload a video of you doing it (with or without a rope)

  • Use the hashtag #JumpfortheNHS

  • Nominate someone else to do the challenge

  • Make a donation
